Very good album with nice acoustic rifs and solo, and somehow is like in rock style guitars and acoistic guitars.
In this album you can hear very nice bass solos, and drums are more based on "exceeds" than on something faster, but of course here you can hear and faster parts in almost all songs.

If you ask me, this album is best release of shining, story is very good, acoustic rifs are perfect, bass guitar almost all time working on solo, raw guitar rifs and fast drums, vocal is sick than ever, better cant be.

In this album i can see its work of Kvarthforth, with acoustic rifs and good guitar rifs, bass here make really good job, keyboards are very very darkly here, drums is not so fast but is agressive than on first album, vocal is much better.

The first album of Shining is very depressive and slow, guitars have some better slow rifs and few acoustic, drums is slow and they dont have exceeds.

Shining - Submit to Selfdestruction ( EP ) 1998 - Review

This release is clear depressive black metal with very slow and dirty guitar rifs.
Vocal is not original on this release, its like Burzum.
Bass have very good rythm, and drums are classical inspiration.

Shining - Review

Shining was formed in early 1996 in Sweden by Niklas "Kvarforth" Olsson.
In the beginning they wasn't much popular, "Submit to Selfdestruction" was they're first release, at first wasn't so popular, but after few years people have realized that this is good.
They had greatest successful when they released "The Eerie Cold" in 2005, in this album is the most sick vocal.
If someone would ask me "what is the one of best songs of Shining?", i would say "Någonting Är Jävligt Fel" from The Eerie Cold.
This band is revolution in black metal scene, as with music thus with show on live concerts.
Just watch some videos on youtube, and you'll see what i mean.
Their themes are speak about: Suicide, Depression, Betrayed and Negativity.


Line - up:

Niklas "Kvarforth" Olsson, he's currently a vocal of Shining, but he played Guitar and Bass. Fredric "Wredhe" Gråby playing guitar, he's member from 2006. Peter Huss play guitar as well, and joined 2006 as well.
Rickard Schill he's the newest member of Kvarforth crew joined 2008, he's watching the drums.

The band is disbanded in August 2004 and reformed in same year.

Silencer is band from Sweden, band is formed in Stockholm, but later "Nattramn" ( leader of this band ) went to live in Malmö. This band have allways 3 members:
