In this album is total different story about instrument's, all songs are different to each other by sound, this album is faster and aggressive than all previous, and almost on all songs is different vocalist.
On 2 song "Open the Gates" has a very good clean vocal followed by nice guitar riffs and on 5 song "På Slagmark Langt Mot Nord".
8 song ( last song on this album ) "Slottet i Det Fjerne" is cover of "Darkthrone".
"Destroyer, or About How to Philosophize With the Hammer" is released by "Nuclear Blast" in 18th May 1998, recorded is in "Grieghallen " studio between 1994 and 1998.
The name of album is taken from Nietzche book "Twilight of the Idols, or How One Philosophizes With a Hammer".
Re-released is by "Back on Black" in since of 2006 as a LP.
